So revealing about how hard it is to get published these days with the publishing houses turning into one big conglomerate owned by Bertelsmann. I've read recently in the NYTimes when Cormac McCarthy died that in today's world his work would never have been published. And yet, I do believe self-publishing no longer has the stigma it once did due to the impossible configuration. PLUS you can make some good money on Kindle Direct Publishing if you price the book between 2.99 - 9.99 if I recall correctly. Royalties of 70%, I believe, if it's still the same.
